Official Rules

  1. Eligibility: The Healthy Living Gift Basket Giveaway (the "contest") is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older. Entrants must have a valid e-mail address and a deliverable street address. Employees of E/The Environmental Magazine and Earth Action Network, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
     
  2. Agreement to official rules: Participation in the contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules.
     
  3. Sponsor: The contest is sponsored by E/The Environmental Magazine.
     
  4. Time period: Deadline for entry is Thursday, February 1st, 2007 at midnight ET. Names will be randomly drawn on Friday, February 2nd, 2007. Entries received after this deadline will be void.
     
  5. How to enter: Visit www.emagazine.com, follow the link to the entry page and complete the entry form. You can enter more than once. Limit one prize per person/e-mail address. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, or similar entry methods or agents will void all entries by that entrant.
     
  6. Prizes: One (1) winner will receive a gift basket.
     
  7. Notification of potential winner: Entrant who is notified that his or her entry was selected in the random drawing is a Potential Winner. A Potential Winner will be notified via email within forty-eight (48) hours of the drawing. If a Potential Winner cannot be contacted within forty-eight (48) hours after the first attempt to contact him/her, an alternate entrant will be selected in his/her place at random from among the eligible entries received. Return of any notification or prize as undeliverable will result in disqualification.
     
  8. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the contest if any fraud, virus, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the contest, as determined by Sponser in its sole discretion. In such event, sponsor reserves the right to award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. In the event of a dispute as to an online entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
     
  9. Release: Winner agrees that Sponsor, and its respective partners, sponsors, agencies, officers, directors, employees, attorneys, affiliates and subsidiaries will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by Winner, for any liability for injuries, losses or damage of any kind, including death, arising from or in connection with this contest or the prize.
     
  10. Limitations of liability: Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the contest. Sponsor does not assume responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or failure of an e-mail on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, including injury or damage to entrant's or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the contest.
     
  11. Miscellaneous: E-The Environmental Magazine, and Earth Action Network, retain the right to send future email messages to the address entered for "the contest". Your email address WILL NOT be sold. Email messages will be sent from either E-The Environmental Magazine or Earth Action Network. Information may include, but not be limited to information, news, special product discounts for E-The Environmental Magazine readers and notification of future contests. If you wish to unsubscribe from this feature, please do so upon receipt of your first e-broadcast sent from/on behalf of E-The Environmental Magazine and/or Earth Action Network. Unsubscribing does not exclude you from entering future contests and/or giveaways.
